Milwaukee EC Calibration Fluid (1413/12880 uS / cm) is a solution for calibrating and setting up household and horticultural EC meters (conductivity meters). EC meters are typically used in agriculture and horticulture, but they are also suitable for determining the purity of water, e.g. in aquaristics. The EC calibration solution is required for EC measuring instruments.

UseMeters are usually still calibrated by the manufacturers at the factory, but the factory setting may change over time. Therefore, the instrument must be calibrated before the measurements. A calibration solution must be used for this. To begin, it is advisable to rinse the instrument electrode with unsalted RO water. The EC value of the fluid can then be measured to show the accuracy of the instrument. If the deviation value is greater than the instrument accuracy, calibration is required. After calibration, the instrument will measure more accurately, a deviation of 1-2% is acceptable. It can also be used as a solution for TDS meters.
