Combretum quadrangulare is a small tree of the Combretaceae family, up to 10 meters tall. Extracts from the seeds have antibacterial properties. Its leaves are simple, opposite, elliptical or ovate, 3–8 cm wide, 6–16 cm long: the petiole is sharply ribbed, the flower is small, yellowish white. The fruit is dry, thinly quadrialate: the seed is brownish-red, ellipsoid, rectangular.
